Sometimes it rains on the day you’ve spent years dreaming about. It’s never what you planned for, and in fact, we usually hear something along the lines of “as long as it doesn’t rain on the wedding day…” from all of our brides at least once in the planning process. But sometimes, you can take that rain and turn it into something beautiful. You can still make it your best day ever and one you’ll always remember as the day you married your best friend. And that is exactly what Courtney did!
Let’s set the stage real quick – Georgia has been in a drought for months. We’ve had weeks and weeks with zero precipitation and very hot temperatures. Then meteorologists start talking about a tropical system making it’s way up from the Gulf of Mexico. “Much Needed Rain Headed to Georgia” read headlines. Forecasts call for 100% precipitation all day long.
And that is exactly what happened. The sky dumped buckets of rain on us all. day. long.
But Kyle and Courtney did not let it faze them. Plans got changed. Their outdoor reception got moved in, and it was gorgeous. Everything was still perfect! And when it came time for pictures, Courtney held up her beautiful train, grabbed an umbrella, and marched right out into the freezing rain with Kyle right beside her. We love you guys!
Courtney and Kyle – From day one, we’ve felt such a connection with you two! We know what it feels like to meet your soul mate in high school and then finally … FINALLY … after years of dating being able to call each other husband and wife. It is an incredible feeling, and we are so happy that we got to be a part of your most amazing day. We hope Barbados is warm and sunny (and dry), and we are so excited to share this little peek into your wedding day. Enjoy!!
