Where do we even begin with these two?! Let’s just start at the very beginning … when they met in SEVENTH GRADE! They are middle school sweethearts. That’s over a DECADE of love!! We knew from the first moment that we met them at their engagement session that Kaycie and Will are it. They are made for each other! Even when Kaycie’s family moved to Texas in 2013 and they went their separate ways, Kaycie and Will found their way back to each other just three years later. And now they are husband and wife!!
Kaycie chose a neutral color-palette of creams and shades of blush & dusty rose for their summer wedding day at NorthRiver Yacht Club. We loved the mismatched bridesmaids dresses and beautiful summer florals designed by the talented Jamie Thompson. A pop-up thunderstorm had the wedding party braving booming thunder and strong winds during the full group photos and forced us to delay couple portraits as we waited for the rain to slow down. When it didn’t appear to be stopping anytime soon, Kaycie and Will weren’t afraid to grab umbrellas and go outside despite the rain – and we are so glad they did! We took maybe three photos with the umbrellas before the rain stopped, and the sun peeked through the clouds! Talk about wedding day luck!!
Will and Kaycie – we are so blessed to have had the opportunity to capture the day you’ve been waiting over ten years for! Thank you for making us feel like part of the family and for keeping us smiling all day long! It’s couples just like you guys that make our job so incredible. Soak up all of the sun this week in Punta Cana, and drink a piña colada (or three) for us! We hope you enjoy this little peek at your wedding day, and we can’t wait for you to see all of your pictures!
