By the end of this week, James will be five months old. We can’t believe that he is just one month shy of his half-birthday. We also can’t believe that we’ve never shared his nursery on the blog. Katie captured all of these pictures before James arrived – which is probably a good thing because it hasn’t been this clean since – but we never got around to posting them on the blog. Well today is the day!
But first, let’s give you a brief overview of how we ended up with a Star Wars themed nursery. When we first found out we were having a boy, Katie started envisioning a neutral nursery filled with grays and whites – possibly safari or ocean themed. Blake was fine to go along with whatever Katie wanted. Then Katie made the mistake of showing him a picture of a Star Wars wall mural in a baby’s nursery.
From that day, Blake was set on a Star Wars nursery. He wouldn’t budge. Wouldn’t give in to any of Katie’s other ideas. But marriage is all about compromise. So that is why we have a Star Wars nursery.
All joking aside, it actually turned out really well, and we are both really happy with it! We’ve gotten lots of great feedback on it, and we know James will love it when he gets a little older!
