Throughout the year, we share lots of beautiful pictures from all our sessions and weddings, but what you don’t see are all the “picturesque” moments that happen behind the camera. We hear from our clients all year long how much they love the Behind the Scenes post, and here it is!

We’ve saved the best for last! Quite literally, since today is the last day of 2017. Without further ado, here’s a look at all of our not-so-glamourous moments of the past year!

We really believe that we have one of the best jobs in the world.

We get to work with amazing couples and spend time with people on the happiest days of their lives.

We make sure to get you cherished photos of the people you love the most.

If you are looking for someone to make sure you look the best in your pictures, look no further.

Sometimes we accidentally step into each other’s shots.

Other times it is intentional.

But most of the time, it is Blake getting in Katie’s way.

Really, if we had a dollar for every time Blake walked into one of Katie’s shots …..

Sometimes, he manages to do it without her noticing until later. It’s like Katie’s own little version of Where’s Waldo?

Speaking of Blake, he has a pretty impressive resume in addition to capturing nice pictures.

There’s no one better to help you get your test shots.

 

He can open even the most stubborn of bottles and light 200 candles in under five minutes.

He has a magical way of making animals cooperate for your pictures.

He hasn’t met a tassel that he cannot control.

And we can’t forget his world-famous fluff-and-run.

Even though it sometimes doesn’t go quite as planned.

We like to have a little fun on the job.

Whether it’s practicing our dabbing skills

Or breaking it down on the dance floor during the reception

Blake really loves wedding receptions.

Correction: Blake really loves wedding cake.

“You have three seconds to get over here before I cut the cake for you.”

He’ll even let your guests borrow his camera if they ask nicely enough – although we can’t promise how much you’ll love those pictures.

Despite how much we joke around, we never forget how important our job is.

Whether your boutionniere needs pinned, your shoes need tied, or you need someone to pick leaves out of your dress, we’re here for you.

No matter what it takes, we’ll do whatever we need to get the shot. We’ll traverse treacherous waters.

And brave daring heights.

Blake even has a special “lean” that gives his shots that extra oomph! We’ve dubbed it “The Lean”.

We are truly thankful to be able to call this our job.

And to work with such amazing vendors.

We can’t say enough how much we love what we do.

And it is our wonderful clients that make it so incredible!

And of course we have to give a shout out to our trusty stool. Without him, Katie would never be able to get the height needed for a lot of her shots.
